February Events at Sky-Vue Skateland
February can be one of the hardest months to stay active. Cold temperatures, shorter days, and unpredictable weather make getting outside for physical activity a real challenge. That’s where Sky-Vue Skateland comes in. Our rink offers a warm, welcoming space where families, kids, and adults can stay moving, burn off energy, and have fun—no coats, gloves, or weather worries required.
Confidence Starts with Our Learn to Skate Classes on February 7
Learn to Roller Skate
February 7
Our February Learn to Skate Classes are a great way to build confidence on roller skates in a supportive, fun environment. This 4 week program is designed for skaters who want to learn the basics and feel more confident on the rink floor.
Skaters should arrive at 12:45 on Saturday afternoons to get their skates on and warm up. Mrs. Denise will lead the group lesson from 1:00–1:25 pm.
The $85 class fee includes admission to stay and practice during the 1:30–3:30 skating session, giving skaters plenty of time to work on their new skills. Pre-registration is required.
Roll the Dice Weekend
February 6 and 7
Roll the Dice at Sky-Vue Skateland’s 6–7 Weekend! February brings a little extra fun with our 6–7 Weekend, a popular trend with our youth skaters.
When you arrive, roll the dice at the door and test your luck! If you roll a 6 or a 7, that number becomes your admission price. It adds a fun element of chance and excitement that keeps kids and teens talking and coming back for more all weekend long.
Soup-er Bowl Sunday
February 8
1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
A Tradition of Giving on Souper Bowl Sunday!
Our Souper Bowl Sunday event on February 8 is a long-standing tradition rooted in giving back to our community.
Skaters are invited to bring 4 nonperishable food items to receive free admission to our Sunday afternoon skating session from 1:30–3:30.
It’s a fun way to enjoy time together on the rink while helping those in need, and you’ll still be out the door in plenty of time to head home and watch the big game.
Let’s support our local food bank.
Winter Olympics Night
February 20
Olympic Night Comes to Sky-Vue Skateland
We’re bringing the excitement of the Olympics to the rink on February 20 with Olympic Night.
Lace up your skates and get ready to compete in Speed Skating, a Backwards Skating Race, and an Obstacle Course Competition. It will be a fun night filled with friendly competition, cheering each other on, and showing off your skills. This is a night you won’t want to miss.
Before You Head Out
Check Our Facebook Page
Winter weather can sometimes impact our schedule, and on rare occasions, it may cause us to close for safety reasons.
We encourage everyone to stay informed by checking our Sky-Vue Skateland Facebook page for the most up-to-date information. Any closings or schedule changes are always announced there first, making it the best place to get the latest news before heading to the rink.
Winter Skating Schedule
As you plan your February, remember that our regular skating sessions take place Friday and Saturday evenings from 7–10 pm, along with Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:30–3:30 pm.
We also offer times for private reservations for school groups, church groups, family reunions, and youth or civic organizations. Let’s have a family skate day.
When it’s cold outside and hard to get moving, the rink is the perfect place to stay active, have fun, and make memories together.
