February is known for love as we celebrate Valentine’s Day, American Heart Month encouraging us to become heart-healthy, and Black History Month, as we pay tribute to African Americans and their contributions to our country.
This February 2023, these are the upcoming events at Sky-Vue Skateland
February 3-4-5
The first weekend of the month at Sky-Vue Skateland is always full of activity.
February 3/4/5 is our 2-for-1 weekend. When you pay Friday night’s admission, you receive admission for Friday and Saturday evening sessions. Skate rental is extra.
This month we will include 2-for-1 weekend for our Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions. Your Saturday afternoon admission will cover both Saturday and Sunday afternoon admissions. Skate rental is extra. That’s two skating sessions for the price of one! Double fun for the price of one!
Skate & Play Ages 8 & Younger:
February 4, 10 AM-12 PM
Saturday morning, 10 am until 12 noon, is our skate and play for ages 8 and younger. Our little skaters take over the skating surface for skate-ride-play. It’s an ideal session for young children to explore the skating surface. We provide our toddler skates, skate mates, ride-on toys, hopper balls, scooters, roller racers, and big wheels. You are welcome to bring in your ride-on toys. Please clean the wheels if they have been used outdoors. Also, no motorized toys are permitted.
Learn to Skate:
February 4, 12:45 PM
If you want to learn to skate, enroll in our skating lessons that begin the first Saturday of the month. You’ll lace up your skates at 12:45 and warm up on the skating floor. Our instruction is from 1:00 until 1:20. You may skate the 1:30-3:30 session to practice the skills learned in class. Our fee is $85 for the four weeks. It covers your lesson, skate rental, skate mate, and session admission. Please register online here.
Glow Night:
February 17: 7 PM
Wear UV-reactive clothing to glow under the black light skating session. You’ll receive a glow item with your paid admission.

Church Family Skate Party
February 19: 4:00-6:00 PM
This is a first at Sky-Vue Skateland. Bring your children’s ministry from church to enjoy a skate session with us. We know churches enjoy offering time for their children to gather for fellowship and fun.
Load up the van and skate with us. This session is Sunday afternoon, February 19, 4-6 pm. Admission is $8 and skate rental is $4. Our current skating times are Friday and Saturday evenings, 7-10 pm. We’re open Saturday and Sunday afternoons, 1:30-3:30 pm. We give an introductory skating lesson at 2 pm during our afternoon skating sessions. Children learn to skate quickly and enjoy the games we play.
We have a few times available for birthday parties during February.
We are now booking March birthday parties. Remember our times’ book early during the cold months. Online booking is available at our website.
School Field Trips
Did you know we offer STEM field trips for schools? During the first semester of 2022/2023, we had over 800 students from 10 schools and 7 school districts come to participate in our STEM field trip. Many youths learned stem concepts and how to roller skate. Most students left a little more confident because they learned a new skill. Learn more here.
Schools may also book PBIS reward skating sessions and end of the year skate parties. Be sure to book today because dates are limited.
Summer Skating Plans
Our summer skating season is currently being planned. If you have a group or daycare interested in skating with us, call to share your interest. Summer is a great time for children to learn to roller skate. Skating every week over the summer will build their skills and confidence in skating.
